Saoirse prefers the rockier outcrops over here most days. She loves the sea no matter where she can enter it, of course, but on days like today, when children are splashing and making more noise than the seagulls, she likes to be off to the side, where the seals all gather to watch the revelry from a safe distance.
They're huddled there, now, sunbathing and enjoying the spray of the surf as it crashes against stone. They don't startle when Saoirse approaches; they know her as well as they know Daine. Perhaps better!
They do startle, however, when Cu runs towards the water, barking happily and bounding in the surf. Some even dart away into the sea when he smells food, and Saoirse realizes that she's not alone over here.
